Hafod is a traditional hard cheese handmade on Wales longest certified organic dairy farm, Bwlchwernen Fawr. Ayrshire milk is rich in butterfat and protein, and is widely regarded as being ideally suited to cheesemaking. It is this unique combination of organic Ayrshire milk and traditional cheesemaking techniques that give Hafod its buttery, rich and nutty flavours.
The campsite at Hafod Dywyll farm has welcomed generations of campers who enjoy its informal atmosphere. Suitable for tents, small caravans and camper vans. Winter here has been grim and we have been hibernating. We have lambs in the fields, chicks under hens, broody hens on eggs, cats hunting mice and dogs hunting cats so in many ways things have not changed since last year.
